Alchemy will not only make you lots of gold if you know what you are doing with it, but also save you lots of gold because you’ll be able to make your own pots and flasks for raids and won’t have to pay any mark up on them. If you play a lot and use pots and flasks a lot you might want to consider becoming an alchemist because it will save you a lot of gold every day, and it’s convenient on top of that!

I’ve listed some basic tips for making gold with Alchemy in case you are new to it or are just having issues making gold with it. There are three main ways to make gold with Alchemy:

Transmutes
Potions
Flasks

Transmutes

You can transmute diamonds (Skyflare and Earthsiege) for a pretty decent price and for you it’s really easy to do, especially since there is no cool down involved. You can also transmute bars (Titanium and Arcanite). Now while doing transmutes is pretty easy I wouldn’t say it’s the main way I make my gold with Alchemy. I have found flasks and potions to be much more lucrative, but you may have a different experience on your server.

Potions

I like selling potions because it seems that people are always in constant need of them and are not as careful to use them as sparingly as flasks. Because this is so, they are usually easy to sell on the Auction House and sell quickly. The potions I like to make and sell the most are the Runic Healing and Mana Potions. Healing and mana potions are like absolute needs for some players, especially those that raid a lot and therefore sell good. If you have the mats or can get the mats cheap for older healing and mana pots like the Super ones, go ahead and try to sell some. There are some players that are a bit cheap and don’t like forking out the gold for the Runic potions.

Flasks

Flasks are a bit more complicated than potions because there is less of a demand for them and they cost more to make and are more expensive for players to buy. Although selling flasks can be a good way to make gold I’d be careful before investing a lot of time or gold into making a bunch before being sure there is a good demand for them on the Auction House. I’ve found that Pure Mojo and Endless Rage flasks work pretty well for me to sell but your server may be different and I suggest you carefully try your own out.

One final note, be sure to specialize in what you do the most, so you are fully utilizing your specialization as much as possible.
