Once you level up your Enchanting it will be very easy for you to make gold; however, it’s that leveling up process that gets a lot of people as it can be pretty costly and even time consuming if you didn’t level it up as your character was leveling. Enchanting is one of the professions that I think is almost a sure bet to make a lot of gold, even if you just disenchant items and sell them on the Auction House (keeping it real simple).
Below I’ll outline a few tips for making gold with Enchanting but if you want to really learn more about gold making taking a look at this Gold Guide may be beneficial to you.
There are two great ways to make gold with Enchanting:
Selling Enchants
Disenchanting
Selling Enchants
The days of sitting in Ironforge (or maybe Orgrimmar) and advertising enchants to sell are almost over. I say almost because for very rare enchants it may still be worth your time to call out and see if anyone is interested. However, with the Scroll of Enchants you can simply see what enchants seem to be selling good on the Auction House and place yours up for sale with very little time committed.
The best enchants to sell in the Auction House are of course the enchants that the most players want. There’s always a good demand for enchants because Blizzard is always putting new gear into the game and as players upgrade they need their enchants! To really maximize your gold potential be sure to get enchants that aren’t trained by the trainer (buy shard vendor enchants and possibly farm for some patterns). Just by having different enchants you can use almost the same mats to do an enchant but make a ton more gold if you have more rare or desired patterns.
Disenchanting
Disenchanting is pretty simple, disenchant an item and sell mats on Auction House. If you are up to it you can buy greens or perhaps even blues off the Auction House to disenchant for mats and then sell those but be careful as you might not always come out ahead doing this. Another option is to take a high level character through some lower level instances and loot greens and blues and disenchant them for mats. Otherwise, always remember to disenchant any blue, greens, and purples of course instead of wastefully selling to the vendor.
